Rose Companions

Yes, roses love good neighbors!

Unless you're growing roses in a formal, traditional rose garden, companion plants can add color, texture, pollinators, and a little personality to the garden.

This list pulls from several sources, along with plenty of trial and error from what I've grown alongside the roses in my own garden. Some combinations work beautifully, while others are simply fun to try.

Don't overthink it. Pick a few plants, tuck them in around your roses, and see what happens.

Take a chance. Plant a few. You might just be surprised how good they look together!
