Roses on the Rise
Candy Cane Cocktail

Picture
I must admit when the box from Star Roses arrived this year, I was very curious about a rose named ‘Candy Cane Cocktail’. I thought with a name like this, it will be a dandy. I planted this rose in late February and it immediately took off. This new floribunda put out several respectable canes and began forming buds. Lots of buds. In mid-April, we had several beautiful sprays of roses and it was a topic of discussion at our spring open garden day.

People could not get over the fact that it was a first year rose. I too, am a little amazed by its first year vigor and beauty and have observed it daily in our garden.

We were thrilled with the award but even more thrilled with how this rose has performed in our garden. If you love a white and pink bloom tipped in red, you’re gonna love Candy Cane Cocktail.  It’s definitely a rose on the rise for 2016!
